Workout games for your TV

Jump. Duck. Sweat.

Games you play with your whole body. Your webcam sees you move, so there's nothing to hold and nothing to install.

Best on a laptop plugged into your TV. Connect it with an HDMI cable, keep the lid open so the camera faces you, and step back. Phones aren’t recommended. See the setup

The games

Each one is a few minutes of real exercise. Pick one, step back from the screen, and play.

Set up on your TV

Air Jake is made for a laptop plugged into a TV. All you need is a laptop with a webcam, an HDMI cable and a few steps of space.

Webcam on top of the TV Laptop HDMI cable 6–8 FEET You, head to feet in view
The camera watches you, the TV shows the game. Put the camera at the TV so you're facing both.

Plug into the TV

Connect your laptop to the TV with an HDMI cable, then switch the TV to that HDMI input.

Camera by the TV

Set the laptop in front of the TV, or clip a USB webcam on top of it, so the camera faces you.

Step back

Stand 6 to 8 feet away so the camera sees you from head to feet.

Move

Open airjake.com, pick a game and allow the camera. Your body is the controller.

No HDMI port on your laptop? Most newer laptops, including MacBooks, need a USB-C to HDMI adapter. They cost about $10 to $20.

Keep the laptop lid open. The built-in camera turns off when the lid is closed, even while it’s plugged into the TV.

No TV handy? It works on a laptop screen too. Just set it on a table, step back, and keep the whole screen in view.

On a phone? Not recommended. The screen is too small to follow while you move, and the camera can’t see your whole body well. Open airjake.com on a laptop instead.

Camera not working?

The first time you play, the browser asks to use your camera. Click Allow. If you clicked Block, or nothing pops up, here’s the fix in Google Chrome:

  1. Click the icon at the left end of the address bar, just before airjake.com. It looks like two sliders, a lock, or a camera with a red ×.
  2. Find Camera and switch it to Allow.
  3. Reload the page and start the game again.
